Our original 320 acre farm has been in the family since 1893. Since that time many crops have been grown. At the present time we have leased some of the land for grazing cattle and horses. The Harris family takes pride in caring for our land and we are proud of the heritage we have. Our farm, situated outside the town of Dilley, has become well known by wildlife biologists as an excellent place for dove hunting.
For many years, we have been host to hunters from Austin, Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, and as far away as Louisiana. The abundance of wildlife in our area makes it one of the most popular hunting destinations in the State of Texas. We know you will discover that good hunting and South Texas hospitality go together to provide you with an experience you will long remember.
Dilley is a small community of friendly Texans. Known for its rich red-soil farmland, it is the hub of the Winter Garden area. Local wildlife includes quail, dove, turkey, white-tailed deer, wild hogs, and javelina.
Dilley is the self proclaimed watermelon capital of Texas, and is located on IH-35, 70 miles south of San Antonio, and 85 miles north of Laredo. If you are flying in, Dilley has a 3,400 foot lighted runway.

We offer day leases for various wild game. Currently there is sesame planted in the fields which is really drawing in the doves. Further information on our rates, leases and farm are found in this website. The doves found in South Texas are mourning dove, white-winged dove, and white-tipped dove. If you are looking for a place to hunt dove in Texas, you found it! You know the old adage about the weather in Texas ("if you don't like it, wait a minute"), well, it's similar for wild game. If you would like a hunt for something other than dove or quail, perhaps wild turkey, wild hog / russian boar, javelina, or white-tailed deer, shoot us off an e-mail (so to speak!). Sometimes we have those other game to hunt. As some of our land is cultivated, the deer and other wild game hunting varies from year to year. If we don't have the hunt you are looking for, there's a good chance we can put you in touch with another ranch owner who can meet your needs! We are an hour south of San Antonio on IH 35. Feel free to come on down from Austin, or over from Houston though. We are east of Uvalde about 60 miles and smack dab in the middle of Pearsall and Cotulla. Lytle and Devine are just up the road towards San Antone. Gamebird hunting is always an exciting sport. We have a bunk-house so you won't need to pack your tent or trailer (or add the expense of a hotel room). We also have hookups for your camping trailer if you would prefer.
